Videos
Hello, I am back in bloggland again. At present I am on holidays from work and have come into the library to try with great anticipation to complete this course. Unfortunately the computers at the library don't have the appropriate software needed to watch the videos. I will now continue on to the week 7.

Wikis
I have found this exercise quite interesting. I looked at Book Lovers Wiki from Princeton Public Library and I like that people can add their own review of books. It would be great for a reading club to add their contributions to these titles.
Learning 2.0 program is showing me what is out there to explore at a later date.

Week 4: RSS

Real Simple Syndication, I am not to sure if I really understand it. I have set up my Blogline account and added my RSS feeds, including the Powerhouse Museum's photo. I did have difficulty posting my feeds into my blog. I referred to other comments in week 4 and someone suggested, right click on the feed button of the page you wanted to link to, open in new window and bloglines will take the url of the web page and find the feed on it. However this never worked for me, I am missing some point somewhere.
Again, I did have the probem of not being able to view "Youtube" introduction to RSS, if I had been able to watch this, things may have been clearer. Hope this technical point will be fixed by week 6 of the program. Apart from this I am enjoying the program learning a bit more week by week.

Week 3: Flickr

Photo tagged by Old Stone
I have been searching through Flickr for the past 2 weeks, there certainly are heaps of pictures to choose from, quiet amazed with the quanity and collection of photos. I came across this photo while looking for Roses and I found this one of the most adorable cat which is a resemblance to my very spoilt cat named Tessa.
I have had a lot of trouble posting the picture into my blog and in the end I saved the photo into
My Pictures and downloaded it to my blog. I know this is not the way to post it across, but I found this the easiest way to do it.

Learning About Blogs
Well, I have just completed my first blog. Learning NSW Public Library 2.0 course is completley new to me. So far I have found it quite interesting and the step by step easy to follow, although I have been unable to view the suggested video links I am hoping there will be a solution to this.
I work in a small branch library of 1 staff (just me) with a relief part time library assistant when needed. Finding time to put things to practice is a problem with this learning. Blogs could be used in a library as a great way to display future events happening in the library.
I am looking forward to completing the course and blogging away in bloggland.
